34 And Moses and Aaron and the chiefs of the congregation listed the sons of the Kohathites, by their clans and their fathers' houses, 35 (A)from thirty years old up to fifty years old, everyone who could come on duty, for service in the tent of meeting; 36 and those listed by clans were 2,750. 37 (B)This was the list of the clans of the Kohathites, all who served in the tent of meeting, whom Moses and Aaron listed according to the commandment of the Lord by Moses.

38 Those listed of the sons of Gershon, by their clans and their fathers' houses, 39 (C)from thirty years old up to fifty years old, everyone who could come on duty for service in the tent of meeting— 40 those listed by their clans and their fathers' houses were 2,630. 41 (D)This was the list of the clans of the sons of Gershon, all who served in the tent of meeting, whom Moses and Aaron listed according to the commandment of the Lord.

42 Those listed of the clans of the sons of Merari, by their clans and their fathers' houses, 43 (E)from thirty years old up to fifty years old, everyone who could come on duty, for service in the tent of meeting— 44 those listed by clans were 3,200. 45 (F)This was the list of the clans of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron listed according to the commandment of the Lord by Moses.

46 All those who were listed of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron and the chiefs of Israel listed, by their clans and their fathers' houses, 47 (G)from thirty years old up to fifty years old, everyone who could come to do the service of ministry and the service of bearing burdens in the tent of meeting, 48 those listed were 8,580. 49 According to the commandment of the Lord through Moses they were listed, (H)each one with his task of serving or carrying. Thus they were listed by him, (I)as the Lord commanded Moses.

Unclean People

The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Command the people of Israel that they (J)put out of the camp everyone who is leprous[a] or has (K)a discharge and everyone who is (L)unclean through contact with the dead. You shall put out both male and female, putting them outside the camp, that they may not defile their camp, (M)in the midst of which I dwell.” And the people of Israel did so, and put them outside the camp; as the Lord said to Moses, so the people of Israel did.

Confession and Restitution

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the people of Israel, (N)When a man or woman commits any of the sins that people commit by breaking faith with the Lord, and that person realizes his guilt, (O)he shall confess his sin that he has committed.[b] (P)And he shall make full restitution for his wrong, adding a fifth to it and giving it to him to whom he did the wrong. But if the man has no next of kin to whom restitution may be made for the wrong, the restitution for wrong shall go to the Lord for the priest, in addition to (Q)the ram of atonement with which atonement is made for him. And (R)every contribution, all the holy donations of the people of Israel, which they bring to the priest, shall be his. 10 Each one shall keep his holy donations: whatever anyone gives to the priest shall be his.”

Descendants of Simeon

24 (A)The sons of Simeon: Nemuel, Jamin, Jarib, Zerah, Shaul; 25 Shallum was his son, Mibsam his son, Mishma his son. 26 The sons of Mishma: Hammuel his son, Zaccur his son, Shimei his son. 27 Shimei had sixteen sons and six daughters; but his brothers did not have many children, (B)nor did all their clan multiply (C)like the men of Judah. 28 (D)They lived in Beersheba, Moladah, Hazar-shual, 29 (E)Bilhah, Ezem, (F)Tolad, 30 (G)Bethuel, Hormah, Ziklag, 31 Beth-marcaboth, (H)Hazar-susim, (I)Beth-biri, and (J)Shaaraim. These were their cities until David reigned. 32 And their villages were Etam, Ain, Rimmon, Tochen, and Ashan, five cities, 33 along with all their villages that were around these cities as far as (K)Baal. These were their settlements, and they kept a genealogical record.

34 Meshobab, Jamlech, Joshah the son of Amaziah, 35 Joel, Jehu the son of Joshibiah, son of Seraiah, son of Asiel, 36 Elioenai, Jaakobah, Jeshohaiah, Asaiah, Adiel, Jesimiel, Benaiah, 37 Ziza the son of Shiphi, son of Allon, son of Jedaiah, son of Shimri, son of Shemaiah— 38 these mentioned by name were princes in their clans, (L)and their fathers' houses increased greatly. 39 They journeyed to the entrance of (M)Gedor, to the east side of the valley, to seek pasture for their flocks, 40 where they found rich, good pasture, and the land was very broad, (N)quiet, and peaceful, for the former inhabitants there belonged to Ham. 41 (O)These, registered by name, came in the days of Hezekiah, king of Judah, and destroyed their tents and the Meunites who were found there, and marked them for destruction to this day, (P)and settled in their place, because there was pasture there for their flocks. 42 And some of them, five hundred men of the Simeonites, went to (Q)Mount Seir, having as their leaders Pelatiah, Neariah, Rephaiah, and Uzziel, the sons of Ishi. 43 And they defeated (R)the remnant of the Amalekites who had escaped, and they have lived there to this day.

Egypt Shall Fall to Babylon

20 (A)In the eleventh year, in the first month, on the seventh day of the month, the word of the Lord came to me: 21 (B)“Son of man, (C)I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and behold, (D)it has not been bound up, to heal it by binding it with a bandage, so that it may become strong to wield the sword. 22 Therefore thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt and (E)will break his arms, both the strong arm and the one that was broken, and I will make the sword fall from his hand. 23 (F)I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations and disperse them through the countries. 24 And (G)I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon and put (H)my sword in his hand, but I will break the arms of Pharaoh, and he will groan before him (I)like a man mortally wounded. 25 I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, but the arms of Pharaoh shall fall. (J)Then they shall know that I am the Lord, (K)when I put my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon and he stretches it out against the land of Egypt. 26 And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations and disperse them throughout the countries. Then they will know that I am the Lord.”

Heth

57 (A)The Lord is my portion;
    I promise to keep your words.
58 I (B)entreat your favor with all my heart;
    be gracious to me (C)according to your promise.
59 When I (D)think on my ways,
    I turn my feet to your testimonies;
60 I hasten and do not delay
    to keep your commandments.
61 Though (E)the cords of the wicked ensnare me,
    I do not (F)forget your law.
62 At (G)midnight I rise to praise you,
    because of your (H)righteous rules.
63 (I)I am a companion of all who fear you,
    of those who keep your precepts.
64 (J)The earth, O Lord, is full of your steadfast love;
    (K)teach me your statutes!

Teth

65 You have dealt well with your servant,
    O Lord, (L)according to your word.
66 Teach me (M)good judgment and knowledge,
    for I believe in your commandments.
67 (N)Before I was afflicted I went astray,
    but now I keep your word.
68 (O)You are good and do good;
    (P)teach me your statutes.
69 (Q)The insolent (R)smear me with lies,
    but with my whole heart I (S)keep your precepts;
70 their heart is unfeeling (T)like fat,
    but I (U)delight in your law.
71 It is (V)good for me that I was afflicted,
    that I might learn your statutes.
72 (W)The law of your mouth is better to me
    than thousands of gold and silver pieces.

21 And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. (A)I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’[a] 22 But the father said to his servants,[b] ‘Bring quickly (B)the best robe, and put it on him, and put (C)a ring on his hand, and (D)shoes on his feet. 23 And bring (E)the fattened calf and kill it, and (F)let us eat and celebrate. 24 For this my son (G)was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.’ And they began to celebrate.

25 “Now his older son was in the field, and as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing. 26 And he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant. 27 And he said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and your father has killed the fattened calf, because he has received him back safe and sound.’ 28 But he was angry and refused to go in. His father came out and entreated him, 29 but he answered his father, ‘Look, these many years I have served you, and I never disobeyed your command, yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might (H)celebrate with my friends. 30 But when this son of yours came, (I)who has devoured (J)your property with prostitutes, you killed the fattened calf for him!’ 31 And he said to him, ‘Son, (K)you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours. 32 It was fitting (L)to celebrate and be glad, for this your brother (M)was dead, and is alive; he was lost, and is found.’”

Greeting

Paul, (A)an apostle of Christ Jesus (B)by the will of God,

To the saints who are in Ephesus, and (C)are faithful[a] in Christ Jesus:

(D)Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Spiritual Blessings in Christ

(E)Blessed be (F)the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing (G)in the heavenly places, (H)even as he (I)chose us in him (J)before the foundation of the world, that we should be (K)holy and blameless before him. In love (L)he predestined us[b] for (M)adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, (N)according to the purpose of his will, (O)to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in (P)the Beloved. (Q)In him we have (R)redemption (S)through his blood, (T)the forgiveness of our trespasses, (U)according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight (V)making known[c] to us the mystery of his will, (W)according to his purpose, which he (X)set forth in Christ 10 as a plan for (Y)the fullness of time, (Z)to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.

11 In him we have obtained (AA)an inheritance, (AB)having been predestined (AC)according to the purpose of him who works all things according to (AD)the counsel of his will, 12 so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be (AE)to the praise of his glory. 13 In him you also, when you heard (AF)the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, (AG)were sealed with the (AH)promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is (AI)the guarantee[d] of our (AJ)inheritance until (AK)we acquire (AL)possession of it,[e] (AM)to the praise of his glory.
